Sadly, the time has come to let
my remaining small herd of quality, AMHA/AMHR Miniature Horses
go. We have been downsizing slowly over the past few years, and
now just have 3 Miniatures left. These were kept because they
are favorites, not because they are culls, and I will be
selective on where they go!
All these horses are in excellent health, are
very socialized and have had regular vaccinations, worming &
hoof trimming. They have also seen Carl Mitz twice yearly for
dental checks.

"Deja Vu" is a Hemolock Brook Cock Robin x Johnson's
Little Missy daughter. This cross has produced the most beautiful,
elegant foals for us every year since 1991. They have all been blue
ribbon winners & some have gone on to be National Top 10s! Deja Vu
is AMHA/AMHR and is 30.75". She has that beautiful head, big doe eye
& extreme action that Cock Robin & Missy put on all their babies!
Deja won lots of BLUES in large color & Liberty classes as a yearling,
but since then has been living the life of leisure as part of our
broodmare herd. She is an easy breeder, easy foaler, milks like a
Hostein & is a wonderful mother. She has foaled every year with no
problems except for 2009 when she lost a colt due to dystocia when I
couldn’t be there. Deja has an amazing high, tail-flagging trot...even
when heavy in foal. Most of her foals have had wild color, and her 2005
filly, a gorgeous black Sabino Tovero with blue eyes, was exported to
Switzerland. Deja carries Tobiano & Sabino…and we highly
suspect Splash. She foaled a stunning dark chestnut colt by our
Frame Overo stallion "Apache" in April 2011, that is also available for
purchase with his dam, or by himself. Deja Vu is being
offered "open" as our stallion sold before she could be bred back for

We are proud of the Minis
we produce here at Kickapoo, and we will do our best to answer all
questions honestly and in a timely manner. We pride ourselves on giving
more than is asked for, and will send lots of photos, misc. information,
history, health records, and answer all questions to the best of our
ability. We like for our Minis and their buyers to be a good "match",
and if we don't think that is possible, we will work with you to find a
mini who WILL fit your needs. Good homes for our minis are of the
utmost importance....so prices CAN be negotiable to the right homes.
Our Minis are all on
regular farrier, vaccination, dental and worming programs. Our foals
typically start their vaccinations at 5 - 6 months. They are wormed
every month until age 1, hooves trimmed every 3 - 4 weeks for their
first 6 months, and checked by a highly respected, nationally-known
equine dentist twice yearly.
We welcome pre-purchase
vet checks...and will work with the vet of your choosing, or recommend
one. Buyer will be responsible for all charges.
We will furnish required
transport paperwork (coggins and health) for all horses that sell in the
US or Canada. International buyers will be responsible for any
quarantine/isolation and transport expenses, and related paperwork, but
we will gladly assist in any way we can.
All our Minis are
double-registered AMHA & AMHR, unless noted otherwise. All
registrations and transfers will be up-to-date and transferred over to
buyer upon payment of sales horse in full.

a 20% deposit to hold sales horse(s).
